When we think of mermaids, most of us will recall a certain rebellious red-haired princess who lived in a beautiful underwater palace. What “The Little Trashmaid” by s0s2 shows us is a more realistic version of the life mermaids would have under Earth’s polluted water using satire. Do you really think our oceans are crystal clear, waste free, and that all marine life is safe and healthy? Unfortunately, none of those are completely true because of the pollution caused by humans. Let’s explore some of the ways this series shows just how we treat our oceans and those that live there.
