Do all comics need to be in full color? While there's many benefits to having color in your series, it can be quite time-consuming, especially for creators who aren’t full-time comic artists. If you take a look at Japan and their very popular traditional black and white manga format, it’s clear that color isn’t always necessary for effective storytelling. In fact, one of the most successful CANVAS series on WEBTOON and now a hit television series is ‘Heartstopper’ by Alice Oseman, which tells a coming of age story in completely black and white.
