The story of a girl who follows in the footsteps of her ancestors, keeping the tradition of the mountain village she lives in alive. Every winter, a female virgin is to be sent to make an offering to the spirit ruling over the mountains. This winter, it is Mária who will have to take the journey upon her. Through snow and ice, into the realm of the mountain spirit. But what expects her there is different from what she had imagined.
