The world is not too unlike ours. The Temple is many things, and people come from all over to learn The Killing Principle, an ancient doctrine that some say was created by The Mother. The Temple's founder, Escle, has drawn those from all around who are willing to fight for his cause and accept his teachings. A ghost of his past seeks retribution, another lies in wait, closer than Escle realises.
