Konkuris possess incredibly strong powers, but they are prone to losing control. To maintain balance, the Hotekis, who are enlightened individuals, use Konkurs's cursed powers to open stargates to otherworldly realms through a program called "Isekaiki." In these realms, empowered humans known as Shujins are sent to conquer them. The ranking of a Konkuri is determined by the achievements of the Shujins associated with them. Every three months, the lowest-ranked Konkuri in the ranking is sealed.
