A little refresher on one of the odder arcs I'd made in NPCs www I think my thought process really was "well, there's usually some kidnapping plot in these isekai stories. May as well!" And it traumatized Vigil more than it traumatized the kidnappees. To be fair, Ixia's just built different and Lucian is famously incapable of processing his trauma well.
