- Grand Prize Winner 1 winner $150,000
- Genre WINNERS 3 Winners $100,000
- Genre FINALISTS UP TO 12 Winners $35,000
- Genre Runner-Ups UP TO 24 Winners $5,500
*only 1 monetary prize per winner
With a total prize pool of more than $1 million (USD) in cash prizes,
Webcomic Legends offers substantial rewards for exceptional talent across multiple Contest stages.
In addition to monetary prizes, the Grand Prize Winner, Genre Winners, and Genre Finalists will join the WEBTOON Originals lineup, where their series will be an ongoing title on the platform! Winners in the Genre Runner-Ups category will have the chance to pitch their title to WEBTOON’s US Editorial Team for an opportunity to potentially join the WEBTOON Originals lineup.
Submission Details
The initial submission requirement depends on the genre you choose for your submission and are as follows:

Submission Period
The initial submission period opens March 10, 2025 at 21:00 ET and closes May 15, 2025 at 21:00 ET!
Up to 10 stand-out titles from each category will be selected for a total of 40 Shortlisted titles.
Most Epic 10 + Most Feels 10 + Most Gripping 10 + Most Laughs 10 = Total 40 titles
Each of these titles will submit an additional 2+ episodes (4+ episodes for Most Laughs - Comedy/Slice of Life) for the next stage of judging to determine winners across the Contest stages.

Shortlisted titles are scheduled to be announced June 23, 2025. Submissions for the additional episodes are scheduled to open June 23, 2025 at 21:00 ET and close July 14, 2025 at 21:00 ET. Winners at each stage of judging are scheduled to be announced around the end of August 2025 to September 2025.

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges and will be judged on key webcomic criteria along with audience appeal and engagement. The panel of judges for entries advancing to later rounds will include WEBTOON Originals creators. This is an incredible opportunity to captivate readers, receive valuable feedback, and impress industry professionals with real-world experience in building successful series.
Please note that the Webcomics Legends Contest welcomes both new creators and former creators. Creators who currently have an ongoing or upcoming WEBTOON Original series (including those on hiatus), who are directly contracted with WEBTOON for work on a WEBTOON Original series, or Creators who have received an offer or are in negotiations for a WEBTOON Original series, are not eligible to enter the Contest. However, Creators who have worked on a concluded WEBTOON Original series are eligible. Please refer to the Official Rules for full eligibility criteria.
