Sam Hayes, a detective, is given the opportunity to live amongst the 'wicked'. There they meet beings just like them, of course, a little different. They make friends with a ghost of a young wizard, who lost his soul while casting a spell. Excited someone can finally see him, he doesn't want to leave their side! They also get to meet a very interesting Cat. She wishes to become a singer just like her idol, The Fallen Angel. The trio goes on wild adventures together, meeting other Gifted beings.
