"Bergtatt" is a Norwegian word that literally translates to "taken by the mountain." In Norwegian folklore, it refers to a person being enchanted or captivated by supernatural beings such as trolls, hulders, or other mythical creatures that are believed to inhabit the mountains. When someone is "bergatt" it means they are completely spellbound by the magic and beauty of nature and the mountains.
