I came up with Thrud by mixing my favorite stuff, Norse mythology, Zelda, and Hellboy, then as I got started, I got into the early Dragon Ball comics, which definitely became a major influence. Anyway, this particular comic feels very much like a Hellboy comic, to me. Even after drawing almost 100 pages as I'm writing this, this is one of my very favorite ones so far.
