Here it is, the origin of this dynamic duo! When I came up with these characters, I wanted to go for a Link/Navi, Hellboy/the corpse, Norgal/Agatha thing, with the quiet hero and the chatty pal they kick it with. I also liked the idea of making the sidekick the semi-reliable narrator, because Norse myths are stories meant to be told and passed down and changed.
