My biggest pet peeve about RPGs is when they rewrite the system. Usually this is done because the companies have pandered to the players ridiculous expectations which leads to more complex rules which leads to fewer new players. So the company tries to simplify things and everyone expects the GMs to buy new books and learn a new system. This is wrong.
