The impoverished town of Deep Creek is slowly being engulfed by the ever expanding Deep Creek Exclusion Zone that borders it. Pollution from factories in the area made it hazardous to humans, and caused the area to develop "thin places" where the border between our realm and the fairy realm is blurred.
