It's the 1920s, a time of dash and glamour--but not for Valancy Stirling, who lives a dull, gloomy life in Deerwood, Canada. She is twenty-nine, unmarried, and continually snubbed by her family. Her only escape is her imaginary Blue Castle, where she goes on splendid daydreams. Everything changes when she receives news from her doctor. She decides that's it's time to go out and find her Blue Castle for real.
