stella elise is a mental hospital patient who was recently admitted for schizophrenia, BPD, and maladaptive daydreaming. her roomate, salvatore, a trans ftm patient similarly has schizophrenia, homicidal tendencies, and bipolar disorder. stella elise malapdatively and firmly believes that she is an alien magical girl named vega who fights evil. when salvatore meets her, he plays along as her sidekick. together they imagine the universe to cope with their experience in the mental hospital.
