Wanna clarify that I DON'T agree with all of what Evie says! She's defending Imperialism! But I think a lot about how people in history felt, and how they justified their actions. My grandparents were Taiwanese, but supported the Japanese empire during WWII. I often think about their motivations. So it was important to me that Evie has this conflict of being a colonial but siding with the empire.
