The "Ye are even as the fire" song originally comes from a Gospel verse (Matthew 5:14-16) which was quoted by the Bab, the first of the Baha'i Faith's two Founders, in His farewell speech to His 18 disciples, the Letters of the Living. The words make a song with a well-known tune amongst American Baha'is.
