A boy named Qwest is trying to find a Nighmare Lord; a powerful race of god-like beings who reside in dungeons, in order to regain what was taken from him long ago. But he will quickly realize that he cannot do it alone and will befriend a peculiar boy who seems to have lost his memories named Bloo in order to accomplish his goal. Many obstacles will stand in his way however, Qwest is willing to do anything it takes to succeed, even if it means going against his own conscience.
