15 year old Kambili and her older brother Jaja lives a luxurious life in Enugu, Nigeria. Their Papa is a highly praised and successful man to others, but to Kambili and Jaja, he is a controlling and fanatically religious man. After a family visit, Kambili and Jaja joins their Aunt on a pilgrimage, which leads them to discover the world outside of their father's controlling grasp. *This is an interpretation of the book Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
