follows the story of freelance Demon Hunter & Shaman, Scarel Dragonsbone who gets hired as the bodyguard of Karol la brandé, a young orphan who is supposedly the next member of the Sorcerer Council, an organization that oversees the affairs of everything supernatural in the world. He must protect her from numerous attempts on her life by demons & assassins, which other council members have summoned in order to prevent her from taking her place as a member because of mysterious political reasons.
