Fun fact: In the first run of this story, the original concept was just Cheshire doing odd jobs for random people, post-pirate-days, with no real end goal. Aaron was a random background character who appeared only in this scene. He ended up being really popular with my beta readers, and balanced well with Cheshire, so I decided to add him as more solid character, which changed the entire story :O
