As a child Nina watched her parents grow apart, feeling unsafe in her own home she wished for a better life. A mysterious boy named Shido appeared in Nina's dream, he promised her fun in return for freedom from the shackles that hold him. After breaking him free Nina finds herself in a strange place. She meets a giraffe boy named Twiga, they soon became friends but Shido isn't too happy since he has a different motive in mind for Nina.
