There were three rules the Royal Families across Vidrun imposed on their unwed children. One: They must never speak to those outside of their family. Two: They must always wear a veil in public. And three: They must never display their magic. Alden, the Crowned Prince of Catalpa Redun, is a young bachelor of fourteen, and he is sick of the rules. Curious and rebellious, Alden decides to escape the castle and its rules for just one night, to experience his kingdom first-hand.
