Somewhere there's a pic of Max as an octopus. Our editor told Melissa to draw the characters however she wanted the first time around. She changed Maureen from a horse to a fox, and Max to an octopus. King Features approved the new Maureen, but rejected the octo-Max. Originally run July 27th 2008. -Ed
