Toko got over her obsession of Byakuya, who made friends with her as a consequence, finding a great and relatable confidant in her. Toko, out of all people, helps him be emotionally and physically vulnerable. In the end, they reached a conclusion. They're neither friends, nor a couple. They're simply... together.
