In 2017 we went to Bali and visited the sacred monkey forest in Ubud. It’s in the middle of the city and has lots of macaque monkeys roaming around. You can feed the monkeys and let them climb on your shoulder, but it’s very important that you don’t provoke them. They can be very persistent when they smell that you have food in your backpack and like to grab onto anything that looks like food.
