79 years after the Old Order fell, a middle-schooler under the Global Government named Kevin Thomas Kagero discovers an illegal fantasy book in a hidden, dilapidated room of a university's library, and takes it home with him, inadvertently freeing a fabricant in the form of a lightningcolt known as Ecco.
