Nico is singing a variation of "Allons Danser Colinda" -The Calinda is a dance with roots in African martial arts. It made its way to the American South with the slave trade, intermingled with Creole/Cajun cultures and developed into a forbidden dance with implications of Voodoo practice. In sidelong reference to the Calinda dance, a girl named Colinda occasionally appears in Louisiana folksongs.
