Mireille is growing up in a small forest village. The villagers are afraid and sceptical about her because no one really knows her roots. One day the animals around the village start becoming vicious and aggressive, followed by an explosion in the distance. Everyone is afraid and anxious. Against the villagers' wish, Mireille starts investigating and what she discoveres affects not only her and the village but the whole continent.
