More than a hundred years after the Ending War, those who survive live in a chaotic world of conflict and magic. Most are scavengers, rebuilding a new world from the remnants of the old and living in groups known as Factions. As a Hunter for the Saints Faction, Azrael the Despoiler tracks down and eliminates dangerously mutated people that threaten the safety and sanctity of her Faction. While she fights for the only cause she's ever known, will Azrael recognize the greater evil?
