In 11494, the French King Charles VIII went to a campaign to occupy the Kingdom of Naples (and Sicily) on a basis of a dynastic claim, but he was kicked out by the "screw you France" League whose member states were Venice, Milan and others (not shown) such as Spain, England, Austria and the Papal States. The only one who helped the French to get past the kingdom of Naples was.... Florence.
