Tarae is fleeing her country when she gets caught by elves. As she is not able tu use voice magic she is soon deemed harmless and they offer her a deals. If she helps the wounded elves, she is free to move around in the city. She accepts and meet a young elf, Luo, left dying by the healers because he is in a too bad condition to be saved. Not willing to let him die, she promises to do her best to save him.
