Nayoko, a young girl born in Japan, has been bullied her whole life simply for looking different. Struggling to keep going, Nayoko is swept up on an unexpected journey, where she learns to face her fears, and feelings on self image. 'Half of me' brings to light the difficulties of growing up “Haafu” (half Japanese) and non-Japanese in Japan, addressing racism, bullying and its effects on mental health.
