In the distant future, Joan finds herself to be a woman out of time. Long gone are the days of human civilization, the world now belongs to mutated freaks. Joan scours the desert for wrecks to salvage the parts she needs to repair her derelict ship and leave. One day a fresh crash brings more than what she had hoped for: A strange robotic ORB, brings terrible news - humanity is coming back and have no desire to share. The pair ventures forth to warn all sentient life and prepare to resist.
