Without the so-called "burden" of friends, Maria plans to get through her new high school solo, keeping top grades while also flying under the radar. Instead of being seen as smart and mysterious like she had planned, Maria ended up looking like more of an outcast due to her issues with making eye contact and her sound sensitivity.
