When a baby is born they are given a bracelet (run on an unknown magic from asteroid crash a 100 years before). The bracelet detects the persons soulmate when they are near, by admitting a light, (the dimmer the light, the farther they are) In a small conservative town, despite being only 16, Diane is one of the few who has not found her soulmate, she has never left the borders. Her Junior year starts, and a large group of foreign exchange students join her school. Diane’s bracelet dimly lights.
