Leon, who is suffering from the Hanahaki disease, a condition that causes him to cough up flower petals due to unrequited love. Despite not being in love, Leon's condition is worsening, and he is slowly dying. Along the way, he meets Cain, the second lead character, who initially hates Leon but eventually grows feelings for him and wants to help him.
