Lynn and Vivian meet on the bus to Camp Dawn, a summer camp that "fixes" queer teens. Lynn is there for the first time, and is somewhat confused when the camp counselors are actually accepting of her. Vivian, on the other hand was there for the past two summers and gets along with the staff really well and they have plenty of friends there as well. They start to see each other differently and not as the idiots that met on the bus to the camp that accepts the "unacceptable".
