Way back at the beginning stages of creating BNW I worried terribly about being accused of plagiarizing someone, specifically the main character. To make him 'mine' I just sorta made him me, but I thought calling him "Skipper" would be way too obvious, so I gave him my middle name. During the making of BNW I met Ellen Everett. No bonus points for guessing her middle name.
