For the second year of adventure lunch notes, I wanted to get big with the story. I plotted out some key elements and characters beforehand, which made it easy for me to connect the dots every day. I'd sit down with my coffee in the morning and draw the panel. I wanted Avery to feel smart for figuring things out, and like he had an imaginary friend through Indigo, the purple-hued Blue Pikmin.
