Alchem Silas is out of chances. One more mistake and he will be kicked out of the Manor—and with a curse like his, monsters won’t take long to get him. Everything changes when a stranger sneaks into his hideout and saves his life: He was looking for the Meridian, a powerful ancient artefact that, after the attack, seems to vanish into thin air. More disconcerting, this stranger claims to know the nature of Alchem’s “curse”: The Manor is wrong, and Alchem is in bigger trouble than he thought.
