Dear users,

 

LINE WEBTOON is not only home to artists and writers who share their stories online, but also readers who want to fall into these worlds. With this in mind, we’ve worked on ways to better serve creators and readers; we are excited to launch a completely revamped Discover platform. This newly updated Discover will give creators more tools to promote their titles, and readers will have more options for finding new content. We will apply the updated interface to the mobile application as soon as we iron out the kinks. The major details are below:

 

 

For Creators (on PC):

 

Multiple Genres per Title – 22 Genres to Choose from!

Creators will now be able to categorize their titles underneath two genres. Creators can select two genres upon registering their new title, or add an additional genre to an existing webtoon. We have also created eight new genres: Post-Apocalyptic, Zombies, Supernatural, Animals, Crime/Mysteries, Inspirational, All-Ages, and School. The second genre will help creators reach new audiences by displaying their titles across multiple genre tabs.

 

NSFW

We have added a setting that allows you to mark your title as NSFW. When enabled, anyone that opens your title will be greeted with a notification letting them know that the title may contain explicit material that some people wouldn't want to see: this, however, does not necessarily mean that all explicit content is allowed. We still ask creators to use their discretion for what is suitable and what is not. Egregiously explicit content will be banned according to our policies, regardless of whether it is marked as NSFW. For Readers (On Mobile Application)​:

 

Completely Re-designed Ranking System 

We no longer require you to go through all the genre tabs to browse what is popular among different genres. We have now genre-based ranking system that will help you to browse popular titles based on genres. Upon clicking the upper-right '>' icon of each genre, it will show up to 30 top-ranked titles for your reading pleasure! 

 

 

Fresh Picks

Feel like reading new titles but don’t know where to start? The newly-added Fresh Picks feature will introduce you recently published decent new titles. Fresh Picks will be updated on a weekly basis, so stay tuned for new updates! 

 

 

We are very excited about this new Discover which have rebuilt from the ground up. This new interface will give users significantly more flexibility, and give more Discover titles wider exposure. Some features that we look forward to adding in the near future include personalized title curation, granular reporting, and more.
